Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson Couny: Police Training Academy Locker Room Addition

The Metro Police Training Academy has been developing elite police officers since 1970. In addition to being one of the most respected police academies in the country, it is a CALEA accredited public safety training academy.

To continue its reputation of excellence, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County selected the design/build team of Moody Nolan and RockCity to complete the academy’s new locker room addition, replacing the existing facility.

The scope of the project included new lockers, toilets, dressing areas and shower areas for the men and women cadets. Due to a tight budget, the team worked with the Police Department to value engineer and construct a facility that met budgetary goals. After substantial completion of the additions, the academy trusted the team to complete the added the renovation scope to the existing facility.
