Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County: Walk of Fame Park Improvements
Walk of Fame Park is a two-and-a-half acre park in the heart of Downtown Nashville, located between 4th and 5th Avenues along Demonbreun Street. It is the centerpiece amid the Country Music Hall of Fame, Bridgestone Arena, Schermerhorn Symphony Center and the Hilton Hotel. The Park is home to the Nashville Music Garden and the Music City Walk of Fame, which honors significant contributors to the music industry with a connection to Nashville.
The redevelopment of Walk of Fame Park was a combination of major changes to sections of the site and cosmetic improvements throughout. Our Scope of work included concrete and landscape demolition, new electrical infrastructure, new hardscapes, new landscaping, new site furnishing, replacing existing Walk of Fame plaques and transplanting the day lilies and rose garden into newly constructed plant beds. The project had a critical time window and could not begin until after the CMA Awards in November and had to be completed prior to the Country Music Festival in June. In addition to the start and completion constraints, there were several events that limited access to the site during construction.
